Jesus You're my King - Simply Gabriel

Jesus You're my King  was written as an Easter Song, telling the story of his sojourn on the cross for my sake. Beyond that, it is also an affirmation of his lordship over my life as his child God.

Peace Be Still - Simply Gabriel

" And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm". Mark 4:39

Peace be still is a song of great defiance in the face of great trials and tribulation. My father had just died and all hell broke loose afterwards from all angle. My faith shaken to its deepest core and I couldn't help but wonder why. In the midst of it all, God gave me this song and it blessed me greatly.

The Meditations of My Heart (Instrumental Music)

"My Meditations of him shall be sweet, I will be glad in the Lord." Psalm 104:34  In the early hours of January 2nd 2023 while meditating, I felt a sudden urge to go to my studio. Not knowing what to expect, I quickly got up from bed and rushed down to the basement. There was a tune in my heart which I could not express with words, so I turned on the gears, sat on the keyboard, mind open and ready to play. A few moments later, I began to play randomly and the quoted scripture above, kept popping out from my heart as I played.  After the first two lines, it dawned to me that this was the reason, the Lord led me to the studio space in the first place so I hit the record button. This was the outcome, totally unscripted without prior idea or plan. I pray this ministers to your heart as you listen and meditate upon it, in Jesus name Amen.

Kele Ya

"In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.  1 Thessalonians 5:18 Many times as humans, we tend to think about the things that didn’t go right for us.  We think about the things we’ve lost or things that could have been better, if only we had our plans all worked out as intended thereby losing sight of the numerous simple (tangible and intangible), but beautiful things of life that we have been blessed to enjoy.  Something I am sometimes guilty of, just like the others... But as a Christian I believe that the blessings of God are accessible to everyone and even more so to those who believe and trust in him. This is what inspired the song. Kele Ya reminds us of God’s blessings upon those who trust him and encourages us to give him thanks always no matter the circumstances.  I hope Kele ya ministers and inspires you into an outburst of praise and thanksgiving to the Lord, the ultimate blesser and giver of all good things.  Kele ya!

I live to praise you

"This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise." Isaiah 43:21

The year 2020 was quite an interesting year.

We have all seen our lives turned upside down in one way or the other, occasioned by the series of unfortunate events that has taken as a result of the outbreak COVID-19 pandemic. For many fear has taken over the place of faith, jobs and lives lost, anxiety everywhere, rise in suicides, domestic violence, loss of personal and religious freedom, collapse of economies etc.  If there was ever a time we need to connect and reconnect with God, it is at such a time as this. For it is only in him that we can find peace even in the midst of turmoils, storms and uncertainty.  "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Imela

#faithfulgod #thanksgiving #gratitude

#imela #gratitude #thanksgiving #faithfulgod #faithfulnessofgod "In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Ịmela in Igbo Language means "Thank you".  It also could be transliterated as "You have done well".   It is a statement of appreciation and thanksgiving extended to someone or a deity who has been a blessing to you, shown you an act of kindness or generally has been a benevolent and gracious towards you and, or those around you.

Imela song captured the story of God's faithfulness even in the toughest and roughest of times. No matter what the circumstances may be, one thing is certain and undeniable : God is Faithful and will always show up for His own, even when it appears that all hope is lost.  So be encouraged and know that God is indeed a faithful God even when we are not. He will always be there for you, irrespective of what you might be going through.  I hope this song blesses you as you listen to it in Jesus name, Amen.

The inspiration came to me sometime in February 2022, at the peak of preparations toward the burial of my dad.   While dealing with the pressures of losing and trying to bury a loved one, my wife who at that time was pregnant, was suddenly admitted in the hospital and had to undergo certain procedures due to complications that nearly resulted in her losing the child, but for the grace and intervention of God.  It was the most difficult moment of my life but surprisingly God gave me a lot of songs even in the middle of the storm. It appeared that his response to every of my heart's cry was a song!
